This beautifully appointed self catering cottage sleeps 4 people and is set peacefully above the Conwy Valley with stunning views of Snowdonia. It is perfectly placed halfway between Betws y Coed and Llandudno, the perfect location for the mountains of Snowdonia and the beaches of the North Wales Coast. The cottage bungalow is set half way down the lane which leads to a small traditional Welsh sheep farm where the 5th generation of the same family still farm the land. From the cottage you can enjoy the stunning views of the Conwy Valley and the Snowdonia mountains beyond from the conservatory, or from the fully enclosed private garden or enjoy a meal ‘al fresco’ on the patio which leads from the kitchen / diner.

In the winter months, you can sit in the comfortable lounge with a cosy woodburning fire and look out at the beautiful views of the rolling hillsides and the snow capped mountains beyond. This is a very special place to enjoy Welsh country life at its very best.

There are 2 bedrooms – one double with a beautiful romantic 4 poster bed with rose bedding and a very comfortable twin bedroom (3ft beds) and a beautifully decorated bathroom with shower over bath, toilet and basin.

The kitchen/diner is very well-equipped with a dishwasher and microwave and there is a separate utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer and a large drying/airing cupboard. All the rooms are very tastefully decorated, all colour co-ordinated with lots of lovely little touches that creates that homely feel so that you settle in straight away. The owners take great pride in the property and cleanliness is assured to ensure you enjoy the perfect holiday.

Your stay at Cae Llwyd can be as relaxing or as active as you please. You can simply unwind and relax at the cottage where you can be assured of peace and quiet, and enjoy the view (right) and see the varied species of wildlife which inhabit the surrounding farmland which is part of an agri-environmental scheme by the Countryside Council for Wales (Tir Gofal), which aims to protect and enhance the landscapes of Wales. In the spring you will see the little Welsh lambs playing in the fields surrounding the cottage.

The nearest shops are two miles away in the historical town of Llanrwst, where 65% of the population speak the Welsh language and are striving to keep this native language alive. This small market town can cater for all your needs with several local butchers, bakeries, delicatessen, green grocers and a small supermarket and a variety of small specialist shops, gift shops, several pubs, take aways, cafes and restaurants.

Nearest pub is ½ mile – the Maenan Abbey Hotel who also serve bar and restaurant meals and a great Sunday lunch, and there are several other excellent pubs, restaurants and bistros within a few minutes drive away in neighbouring villages.
